Borrello is a little town dating back to the Middle Ages, located in the hearth of Abruzzo, and home of the Rio Verde Waterfalls. With an active cultural and musical life, Borrello hosts Lanciano International Guitar Seminar Music and Nature one-day outreach since 2018. After the visit to the waterfalls we head to town for a cozy lunch with typical products. The last part of the day takes place in a stunning stone museum and concert hall for an educational event for local young guitarists or guitar passionates and ends with a guitar participants and faculty performance.
Guided Visit to Rio Verde Waterfalls
Rio Verde Waterfalls, renowned as Cascate Del Verde is a 200m waterfall over 3 drops reached by a short walk to its lookouts in the Abruzzo area near Borrello, Italy. They are a hidden gem of Abruzzo. The trail is about 500 meters long, when you turn left to walk towards the 3 different steps where you can view the falls. The lower lookout offers the best view of the falls with good line of site whilst the upper observation area is more for the panorama of the whole valley. You may want to wear comfortable shoes and take a bottle of water.
